AI tools do exactly the tasks that used to be given to juniors (simple bugs, boilerplate, testing). The result: companies prefer **one senior with AI** over hiring a junior. With layoffs and the push for efficiency, hiring juniors has become a "luxury." They provide little immediate return and need mentoring.
