but in this article they address that conversation I've had a few times with you, which is Apple's security. which for me is something they really take seriously

if we consider the security risk as a dangerous city. and we want to solve that problem. We can either adress the security by getting a bullet proof car and armor it up a bunch... Or we can just not live in that city. 1 approach is to try and harden your secuirty, which yea, apple is going to be better then firestick, or some of those other cheap smart tv things. but your still just putting up a defense. If you just move outta the city to the countryside you wont have to worry about getting shot up. if you remove your computer/tv from the internet, you wont have to worry about dangers as you are in a safe place now.

your 100% secure, on the most insecure device, if your stream box computer is properly network air gapped. the best hacker in the world cant do anything to my non-internet accessible nas, and if i needa stream something from the internet ill spin up a docker container which will have network access and stream from there. Simply things that dont needa be connected, shouldnt be, and things that intermittently need to be connected can be in containers. this method will be more secure, cheaper, and better (if you have local media)

Yes, keeping devices connected to each other will always pose a risk to users.
